La Table de concertation du Faubourg St-Laurent est à la recherche d'un.e coordonnateur-trice de la Table Ronde du Quartier Chinois

La Table ronde du quartier chinois de Montréal (TRQCM) est une organisation en émergence dont la mission sera de veiller à la reconnaissance et à la mise en valeur de toutes les composantes du paysage culturel du Quartier chinois de Montréal. Le GTQC trouve que ce groupe multipartite est nécessaire pour rassembler les diverses voix de la communauté dans le Quartier chinois et a plaidé pour que le Faubourg crée la table ronde et finance ce poste.

Plus concrètement, son rôle est de notamment :

- Défendre les intérêts de la communauté du Quartier chinois (services, commerces, logements, équipements, inclusion, etc.)

- Conserver le paysage urbain, notamment l’identité du quartier et son architecture

- Promouvoir des programmes éducatifs et culturels sur l’histoire du quartier.

Le rôle du coordonnateur ou de la coordonnatrice sera déterminant pour la préservation, la protection et la promotion de l'histoire et de la culture du Quartier chinois de Montréal. Il ou elle aidera à renforcer la capacité de la communauté à défendre ses intérêts. N’hésitez pas à partager cette offre d’emploi à travers tous vos réseaux. La date limite est le 29 novembre.

The Table de concertation du faubourg Saint-Laurent is looking for a Chinatown Roundtable Coordinator

The Chinatown Roundtable of Montreal (TRQCM) is a new organization whose mission will be to ensure the recognition and enhancement of all components of the cultural landscape of Montreal’s Chinatown. CWG believes this multi-stakeholder group is necessary to bring together diverse community voices in Chinatown and advocated the Faubourg to create the Roundtable and to fund this position.

More concretely, the role of the Roundtable includes:

- Defending the interests of the Chinatown community (services, businesses, housing, facilities, inclusion, etc.)

- Preserving the urban landscape, including the neighbourhood's identity and architecture

- Promoting educational and cultural programs about the history of the neighbourhood.

The role of the coordinator will be instrumental in preserving, protecting, and promoting the history and culture of Montreal’s Chinatown and in building community capacity to advocate for themselves.
